Sounds like a good idea. 

TFRs suck, and the Government is stupid. 
So you already have two strikes against you.

I'd probably reply to their mailing with: "Your report is in error. Neither I
or my airplane were anywhere near Texas at the time." 

But then that'd probably be my third strike. So I suspect a certain amount of
groveling is in order. But I sure hate to grovel to idiots.

Of course, with TFRs popping up like popcorn, I suppose the FAA sends out
letters like this by the dozen. Maybe they send letters randomly to all
registered owners just to see if anyone will confess.
