REFLECTOR: Aileron Belhorn Configuration

Brian,

This is part of a refurb effort. The original A/W was issued in 95. I’m adding a SS firewall and SS wing root protection. 

The spherical bearing at the wing root should seal that area up pretty well to protect it from possible heat/fire damage in the event of an engine fire (at least for a while longer than the original configuration.)


I don’t plan on messing with the rest of the linkage at this time.

Have you already mounted your keel torque tube?

One of these days I'm going to make a modification to mine to remove the play generated by the stick/TT attachment.

I also replaced my bolts attaching the engine to the mount with drilled bolts, castle nuts & keys. The original install just had locknuts so I don't know what is called out these days but it seemed to be a good suggestion. I'm doing the same with the engine mount-to firewall attachment.
