REFLECTOR: UV Smooth Prime

I used Stewart Systems water-based primer over Smooth Prime. (
http://www.stewartsystems.aero/productsmain.aspx). I followed a friend in
local  hangar who used Stewart for both primer and base coat on his Glasair.
It's beautiful and holding up well, but we don't have years of wear to prove
anything. I wanted a shiny clear coat look, so I went with automotive BASF
Toyota Highlander white base (2 coats) followed by clear coat. (See attached
photos). There's nothing like Smooth Prime for adhesion and filling pin
holes, but Stewart Systems primer sealed whatever pinholes were left after
Smooth Prime, and I had zero pinholes or visible flaws in finished job.
Stewart adhesion is not as good as Smooth Prime (I don't think anything on
the planet sticks like Smooth Prime), but it's holding up well. Stewart also
has some good finish base coat paint. Cost of Stewart System is CHEAP
compared with most brands.
