REFLECTOR: MT Prop failure mode?

I am confused.  In your post you said that the propeller cycles  manually, 
O.K.?  Then you said that it makes full static (2700)at 12  inches.  Are YOU 
limiting it to 2700 by throttle?  Have you let  it wind up past 2700 and let the 
governor take over?  The high rpm setting  on the governor may need attention. 
 Set the governor control to a lower  rpm and see.
