REFLECTOR: Master Cylinders

I'm ready to install my new master cylinders. Do you have yours working  yet? 
I noticed that the shaft length is different by quite a bit and the threads  
are different. It looks like you can just pull the "C" clip and swap shafts. 
It  appears as though the travel of both are similar. What did you do?
