REFLECTOR: Good read on Aircraft Engines and Automotive Engines

I had read this article some time ago.

I found it a very interesting discussion of engines and how they are
specifically designed for a task.  The focus is on aircraft engines.

Some of the information needs to be updated.  There is discussion of the GAP
Engine, the Honda Engine, and other "new" developments.  The fact that many
of these engines didn't make it into production probably supports the
author's assertions.

It's a little long.  Not a bible, but "food for thought."
