REFLECTOR: Your prayers are answered! LED Lights for your Fuel Sight Tubes.

You can now purchase stick on 12 V LED strips that are somewhat flexible and come in multiple colors and 3", 6", 9", & 12" lengths.  They have about 1/8" Leds every 1/2" and the 9" draws about 60 ma.  The strip is white, .300" W x .070" T.  I cut mine to about 6" and it was perfect for my Fuel Sight Tubes.  They all come two to a package and the 9" cost about $22.
 
These things look like they may have a lot of uses and they are bright.

You can purchase them on-line or at ADVANCE AUTO PARTS and other stores.
 
Better yet you can cut them with a razor knife to other lengths.  To cut them you must start at the end without wires and remove the LEDs 3 at a time.  On the back you will see very small black resistors and you cut the strip about 1/16 of an inch above the resister.  Power consumption goes down in direct proportion to the number of 3 led sets removed.
