As you call around make up the N number, a new one for each agent.  Get 
their quotes, then give the real n number to the agent you choose.

Even though (as it's been pointed out) there are really only 3 underwriters 
out there, the variation in quotes is amazing.  From 4 agents quoting the 
*same* underwriter I got quotes with a 25% spread.
