Remember that the Power Guard has a current limitation, if you use a batt=
ery
with an Amp/Hour=0D
rating of greater than 12AH, you could compromise the PG during a deep
charge. I'd recommend=0D
a 7AH battery for you as the secondary and a simple automotive battery fo=
r
the primary. We use=0D
them all the time and they last as long as an AC battery - at half the co=
st.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!=0D
If you can't find a 7AH gel cell, let me know and I'll order one for you
(under $40 delivered). Don't=0D
bother with the deep cycle battery as a back up, it's cheaper to replace =

gel cell every 2 years=0D
