REFLECTOR: Second door retrofit to SUV

Hiroo,

Mine was delivered as an SUV. The factory offered the idea of adding the second door which I did during my initial build. I was told mine was the last SUV delivered and the SUV was taken off the website the day after delivery. I was told the SUV and SE were the same but the standard keel with center stick provided structural integrity in the SE that was provided by the a absence of the second door in the SUV. The factory provided a layup schedule for the cut down keel area with yokes (I still have my yokes). Regrettably, I no longer have the lay-up schedule. I believe it was Scott Swing that walked me through it in about 2002.

I'm very pleased to have the second door and even though it was delivered as an SUV serial number, I refer to it as an SE with yokes.

My thinking is to “copy exact” the pilot side door and the surrounding structure so that it will reflect how standard SEFG is configured.  I am guessing that there is nothing particularly structurally different about the SUV “tub” that precludes this conversion but I figured I’d ask the collective knowledge pool that is the Reflector.
