REFLECTOR: Reflector Digest, Vol 113, Issue 18

I think it's likely not related to that, this airplane was only
completed last year, so I doubt it's got enough hot landings on
it to overheat the gear bow... and it seems to have failed in
the same place as Andy's, near the fuselage, about 6" out where
the torsional wrap delaminated.  It seems this airplane is
about 2 away from Andy's serial number, so maybe there was a
bad batch.  I also understand that newer bows, at least for the
dash-5 and maybe all XLs, now have a carbon wrap like the RGs
have.



This is Andy's leg.  He said it felt like shimmy when it let
go, and the leg danced around like a wet noodle.  The landing
was unremarkable until the leg let go.  Perhaps those of us
without the carbon wrap are on borrowed time.

Any Velocity where you see the tow in changed to a serious tow
out is suspectable in my view..
