REFLECTOR: automotive spark plug harness

He might have had a use for some of the mechanical parts for his own purposes like building test fixtures.  Klaus has a good reputation for a fine product.  I think he figured out which components failed, he just didn't know why they failed. When he heard that mine was a 24 volt electrical system he got very interested.

      When you say "...he couldn't repair it, and didn't really know what was wrong with it." do you mean that 
      he tested it and saw it fail but didn't understand why...or do you mean that he tested it and found nothing wrong? 
      If the former, it is indeed strange that the inventor/builder would say that.

       Plasma III quit huh? 

       Did you consider sending it to Klaus for repair?  Though personally I like the single mag/ single EI combo...  Something comforting about knowing all the electrons can quit their journey from one side of the battery to the other and the fan keeps turning.

         My ECI IOX-360 has 14 mm bosses for automotive spark plugs.  I had two electronic ignitions, but I replaced one of the electronic ignitions with a magneto.  (Mostly because one of the Plasma III's quit working in flight.) Can I just cut the ends off of the magneto harness and crimp automotive type boots on the ends?
