REFLECTOR: Epoxy question

Exotherm can be huge.  Don't ever just throw the cup in the trash or leave it near anything.  I leave my cup in the middle of a concrete floor.  Friend of mine mixed a medium cup about 5 oz but only used a little.  He went across a sidewalk to get some sweet ice tea(just part of the story) and saw a wisp of smoke under his detached garage as he drank the tea.  He ran out but it was a total loss.  Burned his garage, his Aerocomp (six passenger fiberglass project) and scorched his home from one exotherm cup.  A lot of flox would help but I keep a quart zip lock bag of ice to put my mixed cup on while using to delay and cool the mixture in the cup.  It is easy.

Not sure what I did wrong but I would like to hear from anyone with suggestions. Maybe I should have use the slow cure hardener?
