I too noted the build time of 800hrs.  When I started my "fast build" SEFG
plane 6 years ago I decided not to count hours.  I have worked on it
steadily and it is flying, but I am not done yet (mainly cosmetic interior
and final paint needed).  I laugh when I see "build time" estimates and
think all the vendors should be honest and say "a long time" or, " a really
long time if this is your first airplane like this".  Or "a really, really
long time if you are anal and ....."
