Yes.  That is the conventional answer. (10 to 15 ktis)  I know it matters to
you as you figure all this out...in the long of things, a fixed gear
airplane has much to commend itself regards cost, complexity etc etc.  Never
mind the 10 to 15 knots.  I say that owning a RG and having landed gear up
on my 4th test flight due throttle cable issues and trigger point for a gear
warning tht did not feed into the headset, and my own attention to myriad
other stuff at that instant of time.

If as well faired in as possible, is an XL FG 10KTS, 15KTS slower as a
matter of course?
