REFLECTOR: Cowling Attachment

Mark,  

9 on top leading edge of cowl
9 on bottom leading edge
4 on each top side
8 on each bottom side
2 beside spinner
4 on battery hatch
4 on dog house

None of my posts are attached to the cowlings, hatch or dog house.  I suppose I could attach all but the cowl leading edges and maybe the first 2 forward ones top and bottom but i just chose not to. They have a nice spring-loaded engagement and once locked only a post pin failure could cause one to come out. It wouldn't matter if your post housing was attached to the cowling or not.

The dog house cannot have the posts fixed in it because it slides into position.

I chose not to fix the posts in the battery hatch because the retaining washers would have raised the hatch up slightly, no longer smooth to the fuselage.
