REFLECTOR: Brake fluid

It may well be DOT 5. I'll pass the hangar in a day or so and check. I know it is not DOT 3.

DOT 5, or perhaps 7 of which I'm unsure are the only fluids compatibile with the 
ircraft type seals in the calipers and the automotive type seals in the master 
ylinders. 5606 will deteriorate the automotive seals and regular auto fluid 
ill destroy the aircraft seals

 It finally got cold (well somewhat) here in texas and both my cleveland brake 
ucks started leaking. Both "O" rings look ok just a bit less than round. 5606 
s a tad thicker and might not had leaked. Another issue i have is the calipers 
ame with nitrile "O" rings and Im not sure dot 5 is compatible. 
 Should i replace with Nitrile or a different compound o ring
