he Dynon AHRS also has Pitot/Static connections - this is likely for veloci=
ty correction of the AHRS - it may also provide the air data computer info =
for the main display - as I've seen reference to that.
The Watson Gyro (AHRS-E304), that I believe Hiroo uses - has a built in mag=
netometer. Velocity input is provided through the RS-232 interface from th=
e remote Engine Air Unit (EAU).
GRT uses a separate magnetometer - confirmed here by Mike W.
Chelton's current AHRS uses a separate magnetometer.
It's the magnetometer that is sensitive to magnetic field - and hence is lo=
cation sensitive.

Subject: Re: REFLECTOR: DYNON AHARS location again
I don't really know much about the skyview, but wouldn't a shelf like Andy =
(picture below) and I have for our GRT's work? This keeps the pitot/static=
plumbing up front, as was mentioned, but also allows for the use of the Ap=
proach Fast Stack without ridiculously long cable bundles too. Is the skyv=
iew box significantly different from the BMA gold box or the GRT AHRS?
