REFLECTOR: Intercom noise

Wow. We are running out of options.
Is the RMI the only instrument with sensors on the engine? Is it
possible to remove/disconnect the RMI electrically? I'm going on the
assumption that the noise is coupled to engine RPM, so somehow that
signal is getting into the intercom. Perhaps there's an electrical link
between the intercom and RMI (then to the engine).
I just checked the ElectroAir site. I'm trying to find a schematic.
Does the EI take a single pair (power, return) of wires? How are the
coil packs powered? From the EI? If yes, then I think you already
tested for that.
