Erik,

How many airplanes are flying with a Geared Drives conversion?

Geared Drives suggests that if you use any avgas to change your O2 sensor
every 100 hours. They state that they haven't had an O2 sensor go bad but as
preventative maintenance to replace it. There's a check engine light in the
cabin to let you know if there's any issue including a bad O2. They state
that the only indication of a fouled O2 is higher than average fuel
consumption due to the fall back mapping.
The ECU is great for hot starts and starting every time. You just hit the
button and bam, beautiful airplane noise.

Jerry,

You are mostlyI correct. That's another reason that I did not use a
processor or O2 sensor in my Chevy install. They do have new wide band O2
sensors that are more tollerant of lead, but not completely. I'm curious if
the use of that TCP stuff knocks the lead content down to a managable level
for the sensors.

Of course, if the ship is built to handle that worthless ethanol enhanced
fuel, and you have a way to transport it, it would work OK at home base. It
is getting harder & harder to find MoGas at airports across the country now
days.

We shall see :)

One other area of concern. I read that they are using the Oxygen sensor.
