REFLECTOR: New Subject: User Fees

I have just completed sending emails and letters to my congressman and two  
senators opposing the Administration's efforts to impose "User Fees" on GA. 
This  provision is included in small print in the current Budget being 
considered by  Congress, and could result in a fee to call for weather, file a 
flight plan,  using flight following, requesting service for instrument 
flight, or even  landing fees.
 
Sending the emails was simple. Just search for "US Senators" or "US  
Congressmen" and select your person and click to send an email.
 
I think this is an issue we should all support, for it will have serious  
impact on our airports and on GA if it becomes law. It could result in flying 
in  the US becoming like flying in Europe, simply too expensive for anyone 
but the  rich.

I think the biggest issue is alignment/rigging.  Main  wing aligned
correctly to fuselage,  canard  aligned correctly  to  main wing., etc.. 
So that everything is in its sweet spot at  cruise.   Having the  control
surfaces correctly rigged  would be included in this.

Next is having the prop pitched correctly  for the fuselage-engine
combination is crucial, especially in a fixed  pitch.
