Are there any dampener fluids/oils which behave differently or have
different properties depending on the RATE of the forces to which they are
subjected? (Any space age materials available?)   Kinda like corn starch and
water...have y'all eve played with that stuff ?......push on it slowly and
it is like a viscous fluid.....push faster and it really stiffens up a
lot....that would  make taxiing/turning (slow) easier and effectively  stop
the shimmy (fast)  action.....maybe?    There was a TV show a while back
where guys had a pool of cornstarch/water...they could run or walk quickly
across it easily as it was nearly a solid...but go slowly and they would
sink in the liquid.....
  Just wishing....

Yes, something of that nature installed between the fork and the leg could
be very helpful; but I don't think this is it.

Here is an idea for a Dampener I dreamed up. There are people that know the
forces

involved here better than I. May be they could tell if this device would
work to stop our

Shimmy problem. Simple small and clean if it would work. Dampener is at the
bottom of the 

Gear leg.
