(All guesses--so do not bet you butt on it) Tygothane is Tygon's version of polyurethane, which is good for fuels.  Tom, you mentioned that you bought polyethlynene tubing from ACS.  Double check that--it should be polyurethane, not polyethelyne (perhaps okay, but not nearly as good as polyurethane for fuel).

I'm not sure which type of polyethylene tubing that spruce supplies,  
but there are many many variants on the market with many different  
physical and chemical properties. The style of tubing that is shipped  
with Velocity kits is a Tygon product called Tygothane.
