I don't think you can't land in a flair, it's just that if you stall
buck just at touch down the nose gear will strike so hard damage may
result.  I routinely land on the mains and carry the nose up for several
hundred feet to slow the plane.  It takes practice and a delicate pull
on the stick at touch down like carrying a wheelie on a motorcycle - too
much throttle or brake and it's over.

For those who like; I'll share some video made by my son (with my 5 yr
old grandson who's nuts about airplanes).  It includes a takeoff, flyby,
touch and go, and landing; lasts about 8 minutes, and is 20MB
non-streaming, so high speed access will certainly be a plus.
