That's basically what a Positive Crankcase Ventilation system does, 
though they do it into downstream from the throttle plate and use a 
check valve for backfires.

I don't see anything wrong with it on first glance, so long as 
there's a "whistle cut" in the line.  You wouldn't want the exit to ice over.
