REFLECTOR: AirVenture Cup application deadline

Pat!

You beat me to writing a note to Eric!  I appreciate it!  Glad to hear that
you're in.  I am very sad to hear about Joe - I enjoyed seeing his Mazda
powered VELO.  He and his partner showed a lot of heart in running that race.

Jack: Great to hear you're in too.  Take a look at the results from the Taylor
100 and check out Rene Dugas' time.  I think we might an interesting grudge
match between the three of us since it seems we are fairly close in speeds. 
(Rene, are you able to make it this year??)

Pat and Tim Rhodenbaugh will have to duke it out with their speed demons.

Anyone else interested in joining up?  Scott Baker with the factory demo?  (Are
you going to sponsor the race again this year?)

Seriously, it is great fun and you get to experience flying into OSH in a unique
way (See the cover of the 9/06 Sport Aviation).  No hassle with the Fisk arrival
and we have in the past gotten to park in some primo locations up front on the
flight line.  Eric Whyte and company work VERY hard to make the event safe and
fun.  You also get to see some really cool planes of all sorts of types.  Take
a look at the Taylor 100 info.  It was patterned after the AirVenture Cup and
seems to have been a success.  Maybe Rene can comment on his experiences?
