REFLECTOR: white grease

"White grease" usually refers to lithium grease which is white.

WD-40 is not a particularly good lubricant - it is really created for breaking up and preventing rust.  

I use LP-2 (Northern Tools or your aviation parts supplier usually has it) or 3 in 1 oil which is a 10 weight oil.  Lithium grease is available at your auto parts store and is a great lubricant too.

  If normal axle grease got on the fiberglass structure, would it be bad? Other petroleum products? How about WD-40?
