REFLECTOR: Brake authority

Hi Mike-
I have just recently asked Velocity about this very thing- and my brakes
have never even been connected or touched any brake fluid- Paul said "sorry,
no" they would not take any sort of trade in on the Clevelands even though
we can all agree that the 600's will not effectively stop the XL- best I
could figure out for myself was to send the brake calipers to Matco, they
will re-bore them to the larger 1.5" dia pistons for $200 this should give
about 17% more force on the pads at least-

My brother and I are slowly building a XLFG. It was
one of the first,1999, consequently we have the W600
matco brakes not even the w600xt's. We have only
taxied with them , with toe brake upgrade, and I find
them woefully weak. Do you think Velocity would
consider a trade up to the XT's since that is what
they put in the newer models or is my only option
$$$$?
