REFLECTOR: [Fwd: Web alert Velocity web page changed]

Maybe I'm just to slow, but other than the sign in logo and the new aircraft 
pictures I don't find anything different. The reference to parts being 
changed (5,10) & (5,20) doesn't make sense when the dates for these sections 
don't reflect a new revision date for the section. When a manufacture makes 
changes to their manuals, there should be a revision page with an 
explanation of what changed from the last revision. (i.e. Rev A to B etc 
page X added new detail to figure X) There also should be a Rev. bar added 
to the side of the page that is the length needed to indicate what part of 
the page has been changed. I work with maintenance manuals and wiring 
diagrams every day and the latest revision is very easy to find and is 
mandated by the FAA as such. I don't often bash Velocity but the manual 
updates have been difficult to follow from the start. I know that they are 
just a phone call away, but as I'm sure most of us have to build at times 
that no one is at Velocity to answer the phone. Can someone interpret for me 
what (5,10) & (5,20) is talking about.

I like the idea of a web alert to notifying everyone that monitors the 
Reflector that there has been a manual change, there just needs to be a 
better way of knowing what has changed other than having to review the 
complete section. This makes it to easy to miss the value of Velocity's 
taking the time to update the manual. If you haven't started your build for 
this section this method isn't a problem, for those of us half way or maybe 
even flying we need to have a better way of knowing what has changed.
