I must interject this little comment......Y'ALL DO KNOW WHO TOM MARTINO IS
DON'T YA???????

He is NOT some half-baked litigation hound who wants to sue everyone (I do
not even know if he is a lawyer, but I know he knows some...if it should
come to that).  He IS "THE" radio personality who's show's entire focus is
advocacy for CONSUMERS.  His show is big down here in Houston.  He is the
one to know exactly how to handle this, IMAO (In My Arrogant Opinion). His
shows tone is adamant but reasoned. If y'all were "wronged" and/or "misled"
you should have redress.  Even though the Blue Mountain is chump change
COMPARED to the likes of the G1000 or Chelton etc, it is still expensive and
you deserve to receive what you bargained for in you purchase.  BTW, I have
had passing contacts with Greg and I don't think he is some evil guy, just
dropping the ball in this issue from what I have read here.

I, on the other hand, am just a poor little public servant acting dutiful in
my job as a police officer and accordingly bought the Dynon D-100.  Yes, a
much less capable unit, but so for the upgrades, support and now even
hardware upgrades with the use of add-on hardware modules makes me currently
a happy consumer........so far <g>.  FWIW.

Tom, are you available online (streaming, podcast?) yet? Since I don't
believe you are available in all markets,  that access would be a nice
introduction to the rest of the group.

Alex,

It pissed me off when I found out the "Gold Box" is limited.  However, even
with its limits it does a great job.  BUT ... I still feel abandoned.

Greg is very casual about the fact that the board manufacturer is "out of
business".

II realize this happens with a  lot of technology (early adopters are often
screwed).

HOWEVER ... What makes this case DIFFERENT is that BMA mislead us into
believing our "gold boxes" would be upgradeable with software.

So, here is my proposal ... get me names and contact information of early
adopters who feel they were mislead and I will pursue a class action law
suit for the sole purpose of getting us newer units.  We may have to chip in
a few bucks for expenses ... but I will not charge any legal fees.

I was going to this before ... but I did not want to do it for just myself.
