REFLECTOR: VGs

I'm planning on adding VGs in front of my 'enhanced' inlet scoop for the oil
cooler.  The boundary layer thickness under the strake won't be great, but
still important relative to a wide scoop that extends only 1 1/8" below the
surface; so some VGs could be helpful.

 

I'm looking for info on placement: angle between pairs, distance between
pairs, distance in front of scoop - that sort of thing.  I realize these
vary from case to case, and are best determined experimentally, but some
tips getting started would be helpful.
