REFLECTOR: Nose door cylinder repair kit

When the pressure is first released (either by the "Gear Down Switch" or
"Dump Valve") the nose drops a few inches.  This releases the spring
tension that holds the doors tightly closed.  The doors pop open as the
tire drops through the opening.  At that moment all tension is released
on the doors (because the springs are relaxed.  After the main gear
extend, the nose gear drops the rest of the way.  As it drops it pulls
the doors open. The spring tension then holds them open.

On the way up, the spring tension releases at the precise moment the
tire pops into the door opening.  Then there is a light spring tension
as the tire is pulled the rest of the way up by the hydraulic pressure
pulls it all the way up.  At that point the doors gently snap closed and
are held closed by spring tension.

I can tell you, it has mystified those who watch it in action.  IT HAS
NEVER FAILED.  But the adjustment (on the strut) must be played with
until it operates properly.

Maybe I'm missing something but I still don't see what holds the doors 
open until the gear is clear of them?  Are there other springs some 
where that are not visible in the picture?
