REFLECTOR: Velocity Builders Symposium Update

It's encouraging to see all the positive response to the May gathering!  I
especially like the motel room built into the Velocity cabin.  Is this the
Dash-5 1/2?  Scott B., do you have a price for the mod yet?  Sure you have
W&B worked out.

Your "event committee" is working out the details.  So look for more
specific announcements in Reflector and as the event gets closer.  

One of the purposes of the Velocity Builders Symposium is to offer a
dedicated time of sharing ideas and experience.  That's why we're calling it
a symposium and have chosen a date and site not associated with another
aviation event.  We want it to be Velocity-focused for everyone's benefit,
with different activities and a good time for all, including non-building
spouses.

We will provide some time for presentation of "papers," power points, slides
etc., when some of you genius-types can do a brain dump on modifications,
things you've learned, new techniques, etc.  The event committee will be
working out presentation parameters and time limits.  There will no doubt be
lot's of discussion and much to learn by all.  No boring, pointy-head
presentations aloud.  It should be a lively time.  So plan on what you might
want to share now.  We already have a tentative topic list that is sure to
be of interest but the slots will be limited.

We're looking forward to whatever the factory may bring as well.  They are
good guys.  We're hoping some prospective builders (translated "buyers")
will be with us as well!  

This is a great group, and a great time is in store for all.  

Remember to get your calendars marked (May 19-21, 2006).  Wouldn't it be
great if we had 100% participation.  Whether you are "20% done, 130% to go"
or flying off your 500th hour, y'all come!
