REFLECTOR: Hardpoints for fasteners

Depends - if it is something light like wires, I used nylon tywrap mounts (3/4" x 3/4" square) with a hole for the tywrap.  I roughed up the back side and stuck them on with J&B Weld Epoxy.  These have held up very well.

If it is something heavier, you could drill a hole, dig out some of the foam, inject some epoxy with flox, cover it with a couple of layers of 2x2" BID and use that for a hard point.  These would be pretty tough.

If it is structural like, seat belts, hydraulic cylinders, or something else that is critical, then yes, bury an aluminum hard point like the manual says.

  Dumb question, and the answer is probably in the manual.  For cable fastener location for the inside of the fuselage, the factory says to always use a hard point.  I guess this means even for one screw, ala the photo below.  What's the most effective way to go about this?
