REFLECTOR: Fatal Accident

Well, the last time I flew around tombstone, the terraine out there was about 6000', and the radar coverage marginal below about 8000'.  I heard that someone saw the airplane crash, but have not been able to find out what they saw yet. Still working on the puzzle.

Well, according to what you have as data he would have had to be going about 270 mph straight down to disappear from the screen that fast.  ----  Unless there were a lot of very little pieces for whatever reason that didn't show up as a blip...

Another update:
 
Apparently the new owner of 732RA was a retired airforce squadron commander or some such. He called the A-10 squadron and asked if he could use the MOA 9000' and below and the A-10's could use it 10,000' and above. All agreed. The Velocity was at 9,500' and just dissapeared off radar in a couple hits after the transponder was lost. 
Our center radar updates every 12 seconds.... so whatever it was didnt take long.
