Has anyone experimented  with a variable inlet cooling system for a water
cooled engine?

I've toyed with ideas for how to make a variable inlet on my scoop without
messing up its effectiveness; but decided to get my plane flying and prove
out the rest of the stuff before experimenting with that.  It will be on my
list when I start concerning myself getting a couple extra knots.
