Go to OSH you will not regret it. I go every year. It is a good part 
of my job. As far where to stay it just is a matter of how much you 
wish to spend. If you can camp that is probably the best thing for 
kids. There are plenty of them and there are some good evening 
activities. If you want to stay in a private home. They are available 
and you can rent an entire home The folks who live there leave town 
and you get the whole house which is nice with a family but a little 
expensive. The hotels are more available now that they have built 
more but the room costs are about $150 a night or more depending on 
the hotel.
A rented RV may be the most fun.
