REFLECTOR: -5

IMHO - in the XL with the rear bucket seats - one is swimming in room in the back - however, if one builds the -5 per plans - then the back seat is too tight for legroom.  A proper compromise allows for good rear seat legroom and baggage area.  The -5 really was designed for kids in the back - of course if all of the adults were lightweights - that would be a different story.  (Granted - moving the bucket seats forward a bit could also accomplish additional room behind the seats)
 
Other refinements include the Clevland brake upgrade, the toe-brake system - and a cut down center keel for the rear seat - with a carbon fiber cap - which results in more usable room in the back as well, and gear leg mods for increased load capacity.
 
I think one of the running jokes at the factory is how much "bigger" the XL-5 is vs. the std. XL. :o)
 
Having spent time in planes equiped both ways - I personally like the -5 60/40 split better than the bucket seats - I think it offers more options as far as back seat storage.  YMMV.

	By the way, did I tell you that my buddy that is a pilot for FedEx (Bob) is
	retiring this year and will be ordering a Velo this month for delivery next
	January.  He's going through all of the questions we all ask.  One of the
	things that I realized in trying to answer his questions about the dash 5
	is that to get the storage that they have they have moved the rear seats
	forward about a foot.  The way they present it would appear that they find
	some more length in the fuse.  My thought is that it seems that will make
	it a bit tight in the back seat.
