You may want to call and ask the VERY pointed question.  I asked my
homeowner agent.  He said that some agents might not be aware, but State
Farm will NOT cover aircraft parts.  The claims adjustor WILL know the
policy and will summarily dismiss a claim on the kit.

State Farm.

It is considered just another item in my house. Of course, you may have
limits on coverage for contents, but that can usually be increased for a
fee. The fact that it may someday become an aircraft should have no bearing.
As I understand it, it isn't an Aircraft until it is registered. (Of course
at that point, you may also be subject to various taxes..........
