REFLECTOR: Seat Side Plates

In looking at the installation of the Seat Side Plates in the manual, it 
is not clear as to how far fore, aft, up or down these should be 
installed.   In addition, the aluminum stop blocks do not clear the top 
edges of the bottom seat shells due to the thickness of the stop blocks. 
  Thoughts and recommendations from those who are already past this 
stage and maybe have already upholstered are appreciated.
