OK .so why not put a 2 x 4 under and see if the pump still cycles after it
connects with the stop, before it gets to full switch off pressure?

I would guess that the nose wheel is coming up last and it is bouncing at
the top.  This may cause the pressure to fluctuate and cause the pressure
switch to make and break a few times.

 

I am looking at gluing a chunk of 2x4 to the floor under the leg-to-shock
pivot point, to keep the nose wheel from bouncing at the top.  The gear leg
would have to hit this block at the same time the cylinder fully retracts.
It just so happens that a 2x4 is the perfect size.

What does it mean when the gear comes all the way up, then you hear a few
pulses of the hydraulic pump at the end of the cycle.  The gear doesn't move
because all three are already in their most retracted positions.  I simply
hear pulsations of the pump.

I do not have any leaks . and it only occurs right after the nose gear has
reached its full "up" position.

After the initial pulses, the pump rests.  After that I can leave the gear
up for hours and the hydraulic pump will not run or pulse - confirming what
my visual inspection has revealed - which is NO leaks.  

So why the two or three short pulses at the end of the cycle?

Guesses anyone?
