Read some of his non-aviation essays.  Trinity, Sanctuary, Magic, Victory - 
they're all amazing.

He's had horrible oil temp problems with that plane - it was built with NO 
air supplied to the large oil cooler in the engine compartment.  We finally 
got good air to it from the right intake, that seems to have taken care of 
it.
