REFLECTOR: Off Topic - Internet problem

I agree w/the saying: The Day Microsoft Doesn't Suck - will be the day they 
start manufacturing vacuums cleaners !

I also have .02 to chip in re: XP       I've been running XP-Pro @ work & XP 
here at home for nearly a year & am waiting to see the 1st pop-up ad on 
either.  I'm on DSL - so 'on' virtually 24/7.  I took a giant leap forward 
(from Win 98 -to- XP) & wouldn't go back now - for anything.

Several suggested maybe you picked up a virus.......   The diagnostics would 
be a good place to start - good luck in alleviating your problem.
