REFLECTOR: fuel feed - my solutions

Gee, this is interesting.
 
How about someone trying something. Take a Velocity rigged as the factory  
says, plug the vent opening, fill it with fuel, tape over the filler  caps, taxi 
around a bit and see if:
 
1. the strakes collapse from vacum.
2. The engine stops.
3. Somehow, mysteriously the factory designed back up valve opens and  
nothing happens except the oil temp gets too high to continue taxiing.
4. something else happens.
 
If one wanted to be gutsy he could orbit over the field and land if the  
low-sump light comes on.
