REFLECTOR: FOLLOW-UP ON STRONG PITCH SYSTEM

I heard from Alex Strong again.  After I complained about the strength
of the "override" assembly (because the shuttle popped out), he
re-designed it!
 
Here are his notes (a photo of his test is attached)
 
"The tube has 1 slot.
I eliminated the 2 holes on the opposite side of the tube
The shuttle now has a steel insert that serves as nuts and the cap
screws 
head are drilled for safety wire.
I made a bridle that supports the tube assembly suspended from my shop
door 
(Eventually held 180 pounds)
I feel that the Shuttle separating from the tube is no longer an issue."
 
WOW!  What dedication!
 
This guy is a rare breed.
