The Fluid damper does help, but it is also the cam sequence (firing order) and the inherant "smootherness" of the 6 cylinder. I have a fluid damper on mine as well. The Oddfire runs smoother from about 2000 rpm up (when compared to even or semi-even fire engines). 

Ivo also wanted to know my exhaust setup. I believe that his concern is safety of what his prop design will.. and will not handle. (Provided the owner actually folllows the instructions for the prop!!!)

It seems like we will all know more within about a year. I believe there are going to be some interesting engine/prop combos getting airborne in Velocities in that timeframe. I hope to be one of them.
