Yes, you are correct no structure testing is required for our experimental
homebilt, but the question is what is the Max certified gross wt for the XL-5?
My operation limitation say when signing off phase one you are required to
state al the
V speeds and gross weight for the test. I used sand bags and full fuel. I
have only operated at 3000lbs three times and never landed at gross weight. when
our gear flailed we were munch lighter. I promise to continue to make soft
nose landing. I know the factory can't guarantee the nose gear but this new leg
is munch stronger.
