John,

I didn't build my ship also, but I do my own annuals.  I have an A&P sign
them off. He knows my work and trusts me to do a good job.  He also knows
that I know my plane better than anybody else.

YOu need to find an A&P or IA, either will do, that you can work with, so
as he gets to know your work he or she will do less and you do more.
Pretty soon its will be a rubber stamp issue.
