REFLECTOR: Hydraulic Pump Leak

If you look at the underside of the reservoir filler
cap, there appears to be vent slots. It seems the
hydraulic fluid will leak out of these slots as it
sloshes around. Has anyone tried sealing these slots,
or does the reservoir need to be vented?
