REFLECTOR: Nose gear Hydraulic Regulator

On the main gear of Berkut we use a similar setup on our outboard gear 
doors.  We had a problem where the gear leg would press the valve, the door 
would start to close, pressure would drop to the main gear cyl, the main 
gear would drop a fraction, close the valve, and start the cycle again.  So 
as the main gear retracted fully it would shudder several times and go 
clack Clack CLACK CLACK.  At least you knew when the gear was all the way 
up. :)

The fix was changing the hydraulic line to the outboard door cylinder from 
1/4" to 1/8".
